bumper to bumper and buried in snow, just the way georgie likes us...
DC is not know for being a driver-friendly city. For years it's held a firm place among the top ten most congested cities. Add to this the fact that 75% on the road don't know where the hell they're going and it's no surprise I have a ruptured colon. It takes every ounce of patience one has just to drive down the block for milk. And don't even factor in the weather. Rain=confusion and fear. Snow=absolute chaos.
So I'm in no way excited about the next few days. As I've mentioned, I'm one of the only sad bastards working inauguration day. And simply getting to my miserable job is going to be hell enough. The Washington Post is reporting that Washingtonians should expect "something like a regular weekday rush hour and a major snowstorm wrapped together." It's obvious we're all doomed for the next 4 years, why am I so suprised that it's starting on the first day?
